Group Homes

 

The Disabilities Ministry of Tennessee Baptist Adult Homes provides Christian residential care for 47 men and women who have intellectual disabilities.  In five group homes located in three cities, a loving and dedicated staff provides meals, transportation, recreational activities, and 24-hour supervision.  Many of our managers actually make their home in these facilities.  It is our goal to provide a very normal, homelike environment.  Each resident is encouraged to reach his or her own potential. These Christian homes emphasize the importance of personal spiritual development. 

 

Admission Criteria:  Our homes are licensed by the Tennessee Department of Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities as “Board and Care” facilities.  To be eligible for admission, an applicant must…

• Have a documented I.Q. of 70 or below

• Be physically capable of evacuating the facility within 3 minutes in the event of an emergency

• NOT exhibit behaviors considered dangerous to self or others
